Does the Fun End at the Age of 30?

by Oliver Boyers

This is the question we asked ourselves when my brother turned 30. Does he seem old to you?

Ollie’s brother, James, was due to celebrate the big “30” with us all in Zimbabwe. Needless to say, he went out of his way to show us that although he was getting older, his spirit still had the youthful spunk that he is loved for.

This left us with a very concerning thought – will James become boring once he turns 30? With fear in our minds and dread in our heart, we did what any loving siblings would do – we celebrated his birthday with all the joys that a 20-something-year-old will be familiar with.

By the end of the day, we were convinced of one thing – if James is anything to go by, the fun only really begins at 30!
